It's now 2015. Looking back at this blog, I wish it had never stopped, but life happened. Time went on with life and things happened...very big important things...lots of things...I started dating a long time friend kind of things
..I fell in love with him kind of things...
...I moved in with a guy kind of things
...and last Christmas he popped the question with a beautiful 1.5 karat ring under our tree and I said YES!
It didn't take me long to realize there is going to be another dress to fit into! In front of a bunch of people, but unlike last time, this time I will be the center of attention!
I bought a scale...no surprise in all the happiness and comfort in life I found out I gained back all the weight I lost before!
So it is time to start over, it's time to get healthy again.
I didn't throw everything out the window from before. I still workout regularly doing the elliptical for an hour every morning I'm free, which is 4-6 days a week, but it doesn't seem like it has done much for me?
In result these are my new goals:
1. Progressive workouts as opposed to doing the same thing everyday
2. No bread or pasta (we eat spaghetti and mac and cheese more than once a week, so hopefully this will get results)
3. Watch the sodium...this has not changed I try to buy things without salt so that my blood pressure stays below need for medication
4. Wear pedometer and reach at least 10,000steps everyday and might I just say that I realize the "in" thing is the "fitbit" right now and I would love one, but I just can't justify spending that much for one right now, so a regular pedometer will have to do, even if it means I can't post my results on Facebook and become part of the club.
5. Buy scale and weigh self every morning so as to stay on track
And now a moment of honesty....I made these goals about a month ago and I lost the 10lbs. I had lost before again. Yay!
Now the challenge is to see if I can do any better than that. I would like to drop at least one dress size...moe on that later.
By the way I will address the fact that you may notice my partner in this blog has disappeared and I wanted to let you know there's no hard feelings there, in fact she's a bridesmaid in my wedding! :) Unlike me, Rachel just doesn't have the time right now...which happens...I mean neither of us has had time to write for a few years.
